Lucy Katherine Pinder (born 20 December 19832 in Winchester, Hampshire) is an English glamour model.

Modelling career

In the summer of 2003, Pinder was spotted by freelance photographer Lee Earle while sunbathing on Bournemouth beach. As a result of the photographs taken that day, she signed a professional modelling contract with Daily Star.2

Pinder photographed with other glamour models, including Michelle Marsh, Sophie Howard, Jana Defi, Lindsey Strutt and Saskia Howard-Clarke. Since then, she has appeared on the covers of magazines, such as Loaded, Maxim, Nuts, ZOO, Ice, Carnoisseur,3 Redline and Fast Car. Pinder has also appeared in prominent adverts for PlayStation 2, Yellow Pages and the National Lottery.4

Pinder currently runs a weekly advice column in Nuts magazine, entitled "The Truth About Women,"5 and also has embarked on a television career. She is represented by Neon Models.6

TV career

Pinder's first-ever TV appearance was in 2004 with Michelle Marsh on Sky TV's series Dream Team. Wearing white bikinis, they brought in a birthday cake into a party for one of the Harchester United players.citation needed

In 2004, Pinder appeared on Living TV's series I'm Famous and Frightened, spending the weekend at Bolsover Castle in Derbyshire investigating ghosts and spirits.7

On 31 December 2005, Pinder appeared on Sky Sports as a celebrity soccerette on Soccer AM during which she wore a Southampton jersey. She also sat on the famous orange sofa answering questions on topics such as modelling and football.8

In September 2007, Pinder appeared as a contestant on a special edition of the Weakest Link, entitled "Wags and Glamour Girls," where she was voted off before reaching the final.910

Pinder was a television presenter for Nuts TV from September to December 2007, presenting a short nightly slot called "Book at Bedtime," which is based on a long-running BBC Radio 4 programme. She read a passage from a well-known novel.11 In 2008, she presented the entire four-hour output of the channel from 15 January to 17 January. Subsequently, she has appeared on MTV channel TMF,12 presenting in conjunction with Kayleigh Pearson, Pinder and Pearson's Late-Night Love-in; a "countdown of saucy music videos." She presented the Nuts TV live show on six further occasions in February and March 2008, and also presented "Overexposed" - a series on Nuts TV giving hints and tips to the aspiring amateur glamour photographer.12

Pinder's performances in Book at Bedtime won her a unique publishing contract, described as "a whole new concept in publishing." She is expected to write her own novel, which will be accompanied by a video of her reading it in Book at Bedtime style.13

In February 2008, Pinder made a cameo appearance, along with Michelle Marsh, in the first episode of series three of Hotel Babylon on BBC1.12

Celebrity Big Brother UK (2009)

From 2 January 2009 she appeared in the sixth series of Celebrity Big Brother UK. She revealed that she is "a bit of a Tory bird" and that 'thick' people irritate her. She was the first housemate to be voted out, on 9 January (Day 8) with 57% of the public vote.16

Pinder is an ambassador for Kick 4 Life, a charity that uses football to fight poverty and disease in developing countries.17 She was going to go to university but her modelling career took off.18 She has 11 GCSEs and two A Levels.2 She is a supporter of the Conservative Party (UK)citation needed and also a life long fan of Southampton Football Club.
